How Our Customization Process Works for Murals and Wallpapers

At Koko Art Shop, we take pride in offering customization services at no extra cost for our wallpaper and mural products. Whether you’re ordering a small sample or a large mural, our process ensures you get exactly what you envision. Here’s how it works:

General Guidelines

Our customization services are exclusive to placed orders, whether it’s for a sample or a large-scale project. For all customizations, you’ll receive an Art Proof to review and approve before we proceed to production.

Color Customizations: Get a Custom Sample

We’re happy to offer color customizations at no extra cost. To request a color customization, follow these steps:

  1. Use Our Color Chart: Visit our Color Chart as a guide. You can also purchase a physical copy of the chart to ensure accurate color matching.

  2. Place Your Request: When ordering a sample, include your desired color customization in the “Add Your Personalization” box. Be as detailed as possible.

  3. Share Your Vision: If you’d like to include images, mood boards, or decor references, email them to us to help our designers better understand your preferences.

  4. Review Your Sample: Once you’ve placed your order, our designer will prepare your custom colors. You’ll receive a sample to review before committing to a full order.

Murals: Custom-Made for Your Space

All murals are tailored to your specific measurements. Our design team ensures that the artwork fits perfectly, no matter the size. Here’s how we customize murals:

  1. Place Your Order: Include your wall measurements during checkout. Our team will scale, reposition, and adjust the artwork to fit your space seamlessly.

  2. Art Proof for Review: After placing your order, we’ll prepare an Art Proof for your review. Check your email regularly to ensure you don’t miss it.

  3. Unlimited Revisions: We’ll make as many adjustments as needed to ensure the mural is perfect. Once you approve the proof, the mural goes into production.

Mural Installation Inside Box Trim Wall Moldings

Wallpaper inside decorative moldings has become a hugely popular interior design trend, adding depth, texture, and personality to walls. Despite common belief, this type of project can be more challenging in terms of measurements and preparation than wallpapering an entire wall.

Ordering Custom Murals for Wall Moldings
To make your wallpapering project easier, we offer two ordering options based on your needs:

Option 1: Standard Mural Order (Full Wall Coverage, DIY Trimming)

  • Order the total width and height of the area you need to cover as a standard mural.

  • Your mural will be divided into evenly sized panels.

  • You will need to trim each panel to fit inside the moldings during installation.

  • This is the most budget-friendly option and falls under our standard pricing.

Option 2: Custom Odd-Sized Panels (Pre-Cut for Easy Installation) If you prefer a hassle-free installation, you can order custom-sized panels that match the exact dimensions of each framed section.

📌 How to Order Odd-Sized Panels:

  1. Measure each individual section within your molding.

  2. Enter the custom measurements for each panel.

  3. Add the required number of custom-sized panels to your cart.

  4. We’ll create a mural that seamlessly fits within your space.

📏 Size Limits Per Each Custom Panel:

  • Minimum size: 12” in width and 36” in height.

  • Maximum size: 47” in width and 144” in height.

  • Surcharge: A $50 surcharge per custom-sized panel applies due to the additional production adjustments required.

Wallpapers: Personalized Colors, Simplified Process

For wallpapers, we offer color customizations but do not adjust the scale or rearrange elements. Here’s how it works:

  1. Choose Custom Colors: Select your preferred colors from our Color Chart.

  2. Submit Your Request: Add your color customization request in the “Add Color Personalization” box when placing your order.

  3. Art Proof for Custom Orders: Custom orders receive an Art Proof within two business days of placing the order. Review and request as many revisions as needed.

  4. Non-Customized Orders: Orders without customization requests go straight to production, and no Art Proof is sent.

Paint Color Match

Due to the nature of the wallpaper printing process and variations in paint manufacturing, we cannot guarantee that any wallpaper will match a specific paint color code exactly.

If you need a coordinating paint color, we recommend ordering a sample of the wallpaper and using it to color match directly with your paint supplier.

Alternatively you can use our  Color Chart as a color guide and look for a color that better aligns with your vision.

Key Tips for a Smooth Process

  • Check Your Email: Use an email address you check regularly to ensure you receive your Art Proof promptly.

  • Review Carefully: Take your time reviewing the Art Proof to confirm it meets your expectations.

  • Communicate Clearly: Provide detailed information about your customization requests to help our designers bring your vision to life.

Approval Policy

Customized orders require approval. Your order will be refunded if your Art Proof has not been reviewed within 30 days. A 20% Design Fee will be deducted from the refund.

Decals and Tile Stickers are offered only as they are listed, we do not offer customization services for these items.
